AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Saw action in 41 sets, recording three kills on .400 hitting... notched two kills against Hope International in February... recorded three service aces, including aces against Long Beach State and Hawaii.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Westlake HS... in 2004, the volleyball team went 27-3, advanced to the CIF finals, along with finals appearances in the Dos Pueblos and Redondo tournaments... honors included All-Ventura County, All-Marmonte League and All-Area Honorable Mention... member of the Santa Monica Beach Club from 2002-04.

PERSONAL: Born May 15, 1986... parents are Robert Hedland and Joi Benkert... has four siblings named Jessi, Chrystal, Katie and Mia... an Anthropology major in Muir College... career goals include teaching and coaching... lists hobbies as beach volleyball and soccer.
