Biography

AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Appeared in 48 sets with a season high 12 assists against UC Irvine... recorded two kills with two aces and six digs on the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Appeared in 52 sets as a defensive specialist... recorded a combined 11 digs in his final two matches against Cal State Northridge and UC Santa Barbara.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Appeared in 70 games with two assists and seven digs in his first season with the blue and gold.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lake Forest HS where the men's volleyball team won the region championship in 2004 and 2006... also played on the Adversity and Shoreline Club Volleyball teams.

PERSONAL: Born January 25, 1988... parents are Robert and Julia Sierks... father is a Notre Dame University alum, while mother graduated from Northwestern... Julia played collegiate tennis at Northwestern... has two siblings named Mike and Heidi... a Mechanical Engineering major in Sixth College.
