AS A SENIOR IN 2010: Named to ACWPC All-America Team and WWPA All-Tournament Second Team during his final year at UCSD... Scored 10 goals and added nine assists and 18 steals.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Scored three goals in limited action in his first season on the La Jolla campus.

AT GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE: Finished second at the state championships in the 4X200 free relay in 2009... Also finished third at the Orange Empire conference championships in the 200 free.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Ill Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace in Lodz, Lodzkie... Water polo team advanced to the third round of the Len trophy in 2006-07 and the second round of the Euroleauge in 2006-07... Also played for the Lodzkie Sportowe Towarzystwo club team.

PERSONAL: Born April 26, 1988... Parents are Krzysztof Bednarek and Joanna Zastrzezynska... Father graduated from Politechnika Lodzka while mother is an alumni from Uniwersytet Jagiellonski... Has three siblings named Piotr, Natalia and Agata... His father played professional water polo and was captain of the polish national team... Lists music and cooking as hobbies... Is an Economics major in Revelle College.
