Biography
BEFORE UC SAN DIEGO: Attended Long Beach State and San Diego Mesa... at Long Beach State in 2006 was a member of the water polo team that finished fifth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation... at San Diego Mesa, Coles led the team in scoring and steals... earned All-American, Player of the Year and All SoCal team honors... team finished 17-9 and captured the conference title.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Granite Hills HS where she was on the swimming and water polo team... the water polo team captured three league titles and finished third and fifth in the CIF... holds the school record for all-time scoring and in the top five in steals and assists... earned MVP awards in two seasons... on the swimming team, the team won the League title in each of her four seasons... individually, finished fourth in the 100 back, first in the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
PERSONAL: Born July 18, 1988... parents are Dan and Shirlie Coles... has five siblings named Darren Trinity, Daniel, Nick and Josh... a Political Science major in Muir College... would like to attend Law school after graduating from UCSD... lists favorite teams as the Chargers and U.S. women's water polo... favorite athletes are LaDanian Tomlinson and Heather Petri.
