AT ORANGE COAST COLLEGE: Attended Orange Coast College for two years prior to transferring to UCSD... member of swim team under coaches Anthony Iacopetti and Don Watson... helped team to 2007 State Championship and 2008 Conference Championship... earned individual conference championships in the 400 IM and 200 breast in 2007 and 2008... statistical bests of 1:58 in the 200 IM, 4:11 in the 400 IM, and 2:09 in the 200 breast.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove, Calif... named 2006 Garden Grove League MVP, Male Athlete of the Year, and won League Championships in the 100 back, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, and 400 free... achieved statistical bests of 2:04 in the 200 IM and 55.4 in the 100 back.
PERSONAL: Born September 30, 1988... parents are Kirk and Zaida Carpenter... a Psychology major and Sociology minor in Warren College... hopes to become a drug counselor and therapist... enjoys airbrushing and photography in his spare time.
