AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007-08: Recorded a second-place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 58.45 and a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM with a season-best time of 1:55.99 at the PCSC Championships... also at the PCSC Championships, finished fifth in the 200 breast with a finals time of 2:08.51, while also setting a UCSD season-best time in the event of 2:08.11 during the preliminaries... member of record-breaking 200 free relay team at the NCAA Championships, as well as 800 free relay team that tied for 13^th, and 400 free relay team that just missed another school record with their time of 3:00.69 and a fourth-place finish... honored as an All-American for his performance.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Granite Bay High School in Granite Bay, Calif... named Rookie of the Year and two-time MVP... earned All-American status in relays and named to Sacramento Bee 2007 All-Metro Second Team... set the record in the 100 breaststroke as a Freshman and holds 50 free record... also competed as member of Sierra Marlins Swims Team since age of 7... has earned multiple USA Swimming scholar-athlete awards... named 2006 Marlin of the Year.

PERSONAL: Born June 1, 1989... parents are Andrew and Victoria Maryatt... both Andrew and Victoria swam while in college... has an older sister named Ashley and a younger brother named Austin... hopes to be an Aerospace Engineer for NASA and work at the Ames Research Center in Palo Alto... an Aerospace Engineering major in Sixth College.
