AT UC SAN DIEGO: Appeared in 108 quarters in 2006 with 7 goals, 12 assists and three steals... also named to the ACWPC All-Academic Team... played in 27 quarters in 2005, scoring one goal and adding one assist and six steals... played in 13 quarters as a freshman for the Tritons.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Irvine HS where she was a member of the swimming and water polo teams coached by Scott Hinman... water polo team captured the League and CIF championships in all of Umezawa’s seasons... individual honors included being named All-League twice for water polo and earning All-American, All-State and Scholar Athlete honors on the swimming team... other school activities included being a member of Red Cross, CSF and Project 540.
