AT UC SAN DIEGO: Redshirted the 2004 season... finished third on the squad in 2003 with 26 goals... named Second Team All-WWPA in 2003 and First-Team All-WWPA in 2002.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended local University City High School where he was First Team All-Western League and First Team All-CIF on the water polo team... won gold medals at the Junior Olympics.

PERSONAL: Born July 29, 1983 in San Diego, Calif.... parents are Frank and Krista Petersen... has one sibling, Courtney... Political Science major at Roosevelt College... other interests include surfing, snowboarding and traveling.
