AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2006: Appeared in 20 games, including five starts... was one of nine players to average at least one kill per game at 1.15 kills per game... also added 0.80 blocks per game... tallied a career-high six kills and hit .364 against Long Beach State in January.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Saint Francis HS in La Canada, Calif. where he was a member of the volleyball and basketball team... the volleyball team made the postseason in 2002 and 2003... named First Team All-Mission League and First-Team All-Bay Area in 2004... high school bests included 16 blocks, 13 digs and 18 kills... other school involvement included NHS, the Spanish Honor Society, Student Council, Math League, and CSF... club volleyball honors included gold at the 2001 Junior Olympics and sixth-place in 2002.

PERSONAL: Born October 10, 1985 in Pasadena, Calif.... parents are Stef and Chris Dietrich... has three siblings, Ali, Jeff and Lindsay... an undeclared major in Sixth College... lists hobbies as all sports and music.
