AS A JUNIOR IN 2010: Named to the MPSF All-Academic Team… Played in 26 matches and 70 sets with 12 starts… Third on the team with 209 kills… Fourth with 10 aces… Posted 10 or more kills in nine matches, which included a string of five in a row… Had a career-high 19 kills vs. UC Santa Barbara (2/13) and again at UC Irvine (2/26)… Also totaled a career-best 21.0 points at UC Irvine… Had 10 or more points 11 times.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009: Recorded a season-high 10 kills and 11.5 points at UC Irvine (1/21)... Swung at .778 (7-0-9) against Grand Canyon, setting a career-high… At Cal State Northridge (2/7), had eight kills, an ace, three blocks and 10.5 points… Also tallied eight kills and 10.5 points vs. Hope International (1/9).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008: Recorded a season-best five kills in a five-set win over UC Irvine (3/29)... Had a career-high nine digs and added three blocks in a victory against Princeton (1/30).

CLUB: Played four years with Diablo Valley Volleyball Club… Named to the all-tourney team at 18s regionals.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Las Lomas in Walnut Creek... Team compiled a 93-27 record during his four years of volleyball... In his senior year, Las Lomas went undefeated in the Diablo Foothill Athletic League...A three-time All-DFAL pick… Averaged 22 kills per match as a senior... Recognized as one of the top-six players in the county by the Contra Costa Times in his junior season... Also named a top-six athlete by the Oakland Tribune.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 2, 1988... Parents are Richard and Jamie Davidson... Father is a UC Davis alum while mother graduated from Cal State East Bay... His uncle Gary Davidson played collegiate baseball at Oregon State... Has an older brother named Ross... A European history major in Roosevelt College… Minoring in English literature… Favorite teams are the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco Giants… Top movie is the Bob Dylan documentary, Don't Look Back… Hobbies include music and poetry.
