HOW IT HAPPENED
UC San Diego secured the doubles point with wins at No. 3 and No. 2 doubles.
Allison Lian and
Kamya Nair completed a decisive 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles, followed by
Carling Allaye-Chan and
Hana Gamracy who posted a 6-4 result at No. 2 doubles.
Olivia Allegre and
Julia Visaya's match at No. 1 doubles ended at 3-6.

In singles,
Alisa Lansky opened with a straight-set win at No. 3, 6-1, 6-2, putting the Tritons ahead 2-0. Gamracy extended the lead to 3-0 with her 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 4. Lian clinched the match for the Tritons with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 6, making the dual score 4-1.

Visaya fell at No. 5 singles, 0-6, 6-7(3), giving the Anteaters their first point. Allegre was defeated in a close match at No. 1, 3-6, 7-6(2), 3-10. Allaye-Chan finished the day with a 6-1, 6-7(5), 10-6 victory at No. 2 singles, finalizing the dual score at 5-2 in favor of the Tritons.
