LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego (5-9) fell to Cal Poly (7-5) 5-2 on Saturday at the Northview Tennis Courts. The Tritons secured singles victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions but were unable to capture the doubles point.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons dropped the doubles point against Cal Poly with results on two completed courts.
Carling Allaye-Chan and
Hana Gamracy at No. 3 doubles, finished first, 3-6.
Olivia Allegre and
Julia Visaya then concluded No. 1 doubles with a 5-7 result, clinching the point in favor of the Mustangs. The No. 2 doubles match with
Alisa Lansky and
Allison Lian was unfinished, with a score of 5-6.

In singles play, Allaye-Chan earned a win at No. 3 singles, posting a straight-set victory with scores of 7-6(7), 6-3. Allegre also secured a victory at No. 1 singles, coming from behind to win 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Despite strong efforts, Lansky fell in a tight three-set match at No. 2 singles, ending 6-7(3), 6-0, 2-6. Gamracy went to three sets at No. 4 singles, with a final score of 2-6, 6-1, 4-6. Lian completed her match at No. 5 singles, narrowly losing 4-6, 6-7(6), and
Kamya Nair finished at No. 6 singles, 3-6, 1-6.
