LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego (5-10) was narrowly defeated by Dartmouth (10-4) with a final score of 3-4 on Sunday at the Northview Tennis Courts. UC San Diego secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, but it was not enough as the Dartmouth Big Green claimed four singles courts to clinch the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC San Diego claimed the doubles point with victories on two courts.
Alisa Lansky and
Allison Lian secured a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles. Meanwhile,
Carling Allaye-Chan and
Hana Gamracy triumphed in a tiebreaker, finishing 7-6(7) at No. 3 doubles.
Olivia Allegre and
Julia Visaya's match at No. 1 doubles concluded with a 3-6 loss.

In singles, Lansky delivered a three-set victory at No. 2, winning 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. Lian was also a winner via third set tiebreaker at No. 5, 7-6 (2), 4-6, 1-0 (10-6). However, their teammates faced challenges on other courts. Allaye-Chan fell in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 2-6, at No. 3. Gamracy's effort at No. 4 singles resulted in a 3-6, 4-6 loss. Visaya and Allegre also found tough competition, with Visaya finishing 2-6, 4-6 at No. 6 and Allegre ending 2-6, 0-6 at No. 1.
