FRESNO, Calif. – UC San Diego moves to 4-4 after a loss to Fresno State 5-2 on Saturday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. UC San Diego secured a victory at the No. 2 doubles position and claimed singles wins at the No. 2 and No. 4 spots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC San Diego dropped the doubles point to Fresno State after a competitive series of matches.
Olivia Allegre and
Julia Visaya fell 3-6 at No. 1 doubles, while
Alisa Lansky and Allison Lian secured a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Hana Gamracy and
Kamya Nair were narrowly defeated 5-7 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Lansky delivered a strong performance at No. 2 singles, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. Lian also secured a win for the Tritons, topping her opponent in three sets at No. 4 singles with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 result.

Allegre faced a tough opponent at No. 1 singles, ending with 2-6, 4-6 set scores. Gamracy battled through a three-set match at No. 3, ultimately falling 5-7, 7-6(5), 0-1(8). Visaya and Nair both faced challenging matches, with Visaya finishing 7-5, 2-6, 3-6 at No. 5 singles and Nair concluding 4-6, 4-6 at No. 6 singles.

The Tritons will return for two home matches, the first against LMU on Thursday and Hawai'i to follow on Saturday. The Thursday match will begin at 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, UC San Diego will face their first Big West foe of the season at 11 a.m.
