TUCSON, Ariz. – UC San Diego (5-7) was defeated by Arizona (7-3) with two decisive 7-0 scores in a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 21. UC San Diego's doubles team at the No. 1 position secured the lone win for the visitors on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In their first match, UC San Diego dropped the doubles point, as only the No. 1 doubles team of
Abhinav Chunduru and
Trevor Nguyen secured a win with a 6-4 set. The pairs at No. 2 doubles, Andrrew Beceiro and
Oliver Worth, and at No. 3 doubles,
David Adamson and
Prathinav Chunduru, fell 2-6 and 1-6, respectively.

In singles play, the Tritons faced a challenging matchup. At No. 1 singles, Worth was defeated in straight sets, 1-6, 2-6. P. Chunduru, playing at No. 2 singles, also lost in two sets, 0-6, 3-6. A. Chunduru, competing at No. 3 singles, ended his match with a 3-6, 4-6 scoreline. Nguyen at No. 4 singles had a 1-6, 3-6 outcome, while Adamson at No. 5 singles finished with a 2-6, 0-6 result. Beceiro completed the singles lineup at No. 6, falling 1-6, 2-6.

In the second match of the day, the Tritons dropped the doubles point as their pairs were unable to secure wins on any of the courts. At No. 1 doubles, A. Chunduru and Nguyen finished with a 3-6 score. Beceiro and P. Chunduru ended their match at No. 2 doubles with a 3-6 score. On court 3,
Trey Fourticq and
Yaron Guberman concluded their match with a 1-6 result.
