Michael Rodgers' goal at 5:59 made it 12-7 Tritons and that would prove to be the game-winner. The Tritons were able to draw an exclusion late in the quarter and
Grant Kurtz capitalized, netting a power play goal with :01 left on the clock that sent UC San Diego into the fourth quarter leading 14-9.
The fourth quarter proved to be a defensive battle until Cal State Fullerton ended the deadlock with a power-play goal at 5:25.
