Tritons Shift Conference Opener to LionTree Arena

UC San Diego will now face Cal State Fullerton at home on Sept. 26

LA JOLLA, Calif.—UC San Diego women's volleyball will now play host to Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 26 in LionTree Arena to open the Big West schedule. 
 
The match was originally scheduled to take place in Fullerton to open the conference slate. The change was made due to ongoing gym floor renovations at Titan Gym. 
 
The Tritons will now travel to Fullerton on Nov. 1—originally scheduled as their home match—with first serve scheduled for both matches at 6 p.m.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of The Big West in NCAA Division I. The 23-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions II and III and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors.
