THREE TRITONS CAPTURE BIG WEST HONORS IN 2024
Three UC San Diego scholar-athletes were honored by The Big West in 2024 as the conference announced its men's soccer postseason awards. Senior Max Carvalho earned his third Big West nod as he was named to the All-Conference Second Team. Freshmen Kai Oppenheim and Quinn Sellers were named to the All-Freshman Team, and both return for the Tritons in 2025.

10 FRESHMEN JOIN THE SQUAD
UC San Diego men's soccer head coach Jon Pascale has announced the addition of ten newcomers who will join the Tritons' roster for the 2025 season: Gavin Allegaert, Adam Dunbar, Masa Fujita, Gary Green, Ian Mai, Liam Murdin, Jack Nishimoto, Sagar Patel, Max Pulvers and Sean Ueda. WHY THE TRITONS?
The Triton is described as the offspring of Poseidon and Amphitrite, a demigod of the sea with a lower part of the body like that of a fish. It is known as a mighty and fierce sea warrior. Given UC San Diego's close proximity to the Pacific Ocean and its connections with the world-famous Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Triton became our mascot in 1964.
