LA JOLLA, Calif. — UC San Diego Athletics is proud to announce its endorsement of the newly-formed SD Tide Collective that will power the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for Triton basketball players.
In the college basketball world, talent doesn't just come to campus – it's recruited, it's retained, and it's supported. The SD Tide Collective will leverage NIL resources that help men's and women's basketball players at UC San Diego compete at the highest level while upholding the integrity and academic mission of the university.
Collectives are a group of businesses and/or individuals that aid scholar-athletes in recognizing and utilizing NIL opportunities as well as helping them build a personal brand through social media platforms and other outlets. Collectives are operated independently of the university.
