LA JOLLA, Calif. — Thirteen UC San Diego women's water polo scholar-athletes were awarded All-Academic honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) as the organization announced its annual recipients Wednesday.
The awardees are grouped into one of three categories depending on their GPA - Outstanding (4.0-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41), and Excellent (3.40-3.20).
Three Tritons were named in the Outstanding tier, six were in the Superior level, and four earned spots in the Excellent category.
Lexi Stahl is now a five-time ACWPC All-Academic performer, while
Caroline Christl,
Lucia Doak, and
Kenzie Larson have been honored four times. Earning it for the third time in their careers are
Abby Moll,
Sofia Munatones,
Sydney Munatones, and
Kendall Thomas.
In addition, UC San Diego was named an ACWPC All-Academic Team as the entire squad owned a GPA above 3.0.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of The Big West in NCAA Division I. The 23-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions II and III and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors.
