SAN DIEGO – UC San Diego wrapped up its road schedule with a 4-2 victory at Point Loma Wednesday afternoon at PLNU Tennis Courts. The Tritons improved to 10-9 this spring, with the ten victories matching a program best since UC San Diego reclassified to Division I.
Ranked 13th nationally in Division II, the Sea Lions won the doubles point before the Tritons won four of five singles courts to earn the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Down a pair of starters, UC San Diego mixed its doubles lineup and Point Loma took advantage of the new Triton pairings. The Sea Lions took third doubles and first doubles to grab a 1-0 lead in the match. Triton seniors

In singles, Point Loma forfeited at No. 6, tying the match at 1-1. The Tritons took a 2-1 lead thanks to
Kelly Leung's 6-3, 6-2 win at the top spot. Playing up a spot at No. 5, Vu made it 3-1 when she won 7-6 (3), 6-2.
The Sea Lions won at the second position, cutting UC San Diego's lead to 3-2. The Tritons closed out the victory when
Grace Gamal won 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 at the third position. Court five was tied at one set apiece when play was abandoned.
