Tritons' Game at Davis to Air on ESPN2

Regular season finale is a Big West wild card selection

IRVINE, Calif. – UC San Diego's final regular season men's basketball game at UC Davis on March 8 will be televised nationally on ESPN2, The Big West announced on Wednesday. The contest will be the Tritons' third national television appearance during conference play as well as the program's first ESPN2 appearance.

At 24-4 overall and 14-2 in The Big West, the Tritons sit in first place in the conference standings with four games remaining. UC San Diego leads the country in turnover margin at +7.2 and the Tritons rank second nationally in scoring margin (18.4). UC San Diego's current NET ranking is 37, and the Tritons are second amongst Division I teams in wins away from home (13).
 
UC Davis (15-13, 9-8 Big West) boasts The Big West's leading scorer in TY Johnson (21.5 points per game) and the Aggies are second in the conference in turnover margin (+2.0).
 
When these teams met earlier this month in La Jolla, the Tritons earned an 85-60 win.
 
To accommodate the national television broadcast, game time has been adjusted to 8 p.m. on March 8.
