BOSTON – After picking up two more conference wins by an average margin of 26.5 points, the UC San Diego men's basketball team has moved up one spot to No. 2 in this week's Mid-Major Top 25® college basketball poll. The Tritons have once again received one first place vote, and the No. 2 ranking sets a new high-water mark for the program in this coaches' poll. In the USA TODAY Sports Men's Basketball Coaches Poll, UC San Diego is receiving 15 Top 25 votes this week, and the Tritons garnered eight votes in the Associated Press Top 25.
Last week, the Tritons (24-4 overall, 13-2 Big West) moved in to sole possession of first place in conference, winning by
14 points at Cal Poly and
earning a 39-point win over Hawai'i in La Jolla. UC San Diego has won a conference-best nine straight games, and the 24 wins to date are the program's most in a single season since moving to Division I in 2020.
UC San Diego leads the country in turnover margin at +7.2 and the Tritons rank second nationally in scoring margin (18.4). UC San Diego's current NET ranking of 36 is a program best, and the Tritons are second amongst Division I teams in wins away from home (13).

The Tritons face their fourth consecutive split week of Big West action this weekend. UC San Diego will play at CSUN on Thursday in a game ESPN.com referred to as the "
best game of the day" before returning home to host Cal State Fullerton on Saturday. Both games tip at 7 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+ and KSDT radio. Tickets for Saturday can be purchased through
