BOSTON – After picking up two more conference wins by an average margin of 22 points, the UC San Diego men's basketball team has moved up one spot to No. 3 in this week's Mid-Major Top 25® college basketball poll. The Tritons have once again received one first place vote, and the No. 3 ranking sets a new high-water mark for the program in this coaches' poll. In the USA TODAY Sports Men's Basketball Coaches Poll, UC San Diego is receiving three Top 25 votes this week.
Last week, the Tritons (22-4 overall, 12-2 Big West) won by
19 points at Cal State Bakersfield and were
25-point winners over UC Davis in La Jolla. UC San Diego has won a conference-best seven straight games, and the 22 wins to date are the program's most in a single season since moving to Division I in 2020.
UC San Diego leads the country in turnover margin at +7.1 and the Tritons rank fourth nationally in scoring margin (17.8). UC San Diego's current NET ranking of 43 is a program best, and the Tritons are third amongst Division I teams in wins away from home (12).

The Tritons face yet another split week of Big West action this week. UC San Diego will play at Cal Poly on Thursday before returning home to host Hawai'i on Saturday. Both games tip at 7 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+. Tickets for Saturday can be purchased through
