LA JOLLA, Calif.— With the 2025-26 season just underway, the UC San Diego men's basketball team is excited to announce the recent signing of Baylen to the squad.
The signing was made possible by
Team IMPACT. The organization matches children facing serious illness and disability with collegiate sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved. Team IMPACT's core values are empathy, camaraderie, resilience, and boldness.
Baylen, who is 11 years old and resides in Poway, has Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. He is a fun loving, empathetic, and competitive kid who has been so resilient throughout his medical journey. Baylen is a shining example of Team IMPACT's core values.
