The Tritons are 7-0 after winning the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational last week at Walt Disney World, downing Temple, Bradley, and Towson. Nevada is 5-3, boasting wins in two of its last three games (UCSB and San Francisco). The Wolf Pack are 4-1 at home.
These teams have met once previously, an eight-point Nevada win here in 2022. Tuesday's game will air on the Mountain West Network with a link to live stats on UCSDTritons.com.

UC San Diego knocked down a season-best 16 three-pointers and got 16 points from junior
Leo Beath as the Tritons defeated Towson, 87-73, to win the Adventure Bracket at the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational at Walt Disney World. Nine different Tritons buried a three-pointer in the win, tying an NCAA Division I single game record.
The Tritons shot 64% from distance and 60.4% overall Wednesday afternoon to claim the tournament title. Beath led the way with 16 points and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
Aidan Burke added 14 points on 4-of-5 from deep,
Emanuel Prospere II scored 11,
Tom Beattie scored ten with six assists and
Hudson Mayes was 4-for-4 from the field, contributing ten points. Wednesday was UC San Diego's second game of the season with five players scoring 10 or more points.
Tyler Tejada paced Towson (5-3) with a game-high 27 points.
LAST TIME VS. NEVADA: WOLF PACK 64, TRITONS 56 Stats
Two Tritons scored in double figures, but host Nevada fought off a hard-charging UC San Diego squad for a 64-56 victory in front of 6,693 inside Lawlor Events Center. Neither team led by more than six points all night until a pair of Wolf Pack free throws in the game's final seconds.

Francis Nwaokorie scored a season-high 13 for the Tritons (4-6). The Wolf Pack remained unbeaten at home (5-0) while improving to 9-3 overall.

Leo Beath was named Most Valuable Player at the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational, leading UC San Diego to three wins in three days at Walt Disney World. Beath averaged 23.7 points per game, shooting 61.9% over three games. He drained 9-of-13 three-point attempts (69.2%) and averaged four rebounds and 1.7 steals per game in the victories over Temple, Bradley, and Towson.
DRAINING 'EM FROM DISTANCE
UC San Diego tied an NCAA Division I single game record when nine Tritons sank three-pointers in a win over Towson at Walt Disney World (Nov. 26). Over the three-day tournament, UC San Diego shot 51.9% from beyond the arc – hitting 40 of 77 attempts. The Tritons lead The Big West in three-point field goal percentage (42.3%) and threes per game (11.0).
THE BIG WEST HONORS BEATH

Leo Beath was named The Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Nov. 17). The honor is the first for Beath and the first for a Triton over the young season's two weeks. Beath averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds leading the Tritons to a pair of wins that week. He shot 58.3% (14-24) and knocked down six of 13 three-point tries. His five three-pointers in a win at Fresno State (Nov. 12) set a career high.

GOING STREAKING
Dating back to January, UC San Diego has won 20 consecutive regular season games – the longest active streak in the country. Including the postseason, the Tritons are 25-3 in 2025.
TAKING THE LONG ROAD
UC San Diego is in the midst of a 34-day stretch between home games – the longest such stretch for the Tritons in their Division I or II era (2000-present). This year's squad will travel 6,042 miles between their Nov. 15 home game vs. Idaho and Dec. 19 home game vs. USD. The last time UC San Diego was away from La Jolla for more than 30 days was a 31-day stint in 2007-08.
EAST COAST TRITONS
The Tritons have won their last eight regular season games played in the Eastern Time Zone after winning the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational in November. Last season in Daytona Beach, UC San Diego beat La Salle, James Madison and Toledo to win the Boardwalk Battle. The Tritons also won at George Washington and Eastern Michigan in 2022.
TRIPLE DIGITS
UC San Diego scored 105 points in its season-opening win over La Verne (Nov. 3). The Tritons reached the century mark three times last season.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME
UC San Diego has turned LionTree Arena into a true home court advantage, boasting a 30-4 record in La Jolla over the past two-plus seasons.

2024-25 REWIND
UC San Diego is coming off an historic season in which the Tritons won 30 games, a Big West regular season and tournament title, and took 14th-ranked Michigan to the wire in the NCAA Tournament – all in the program's first season with Division I postseason eligibility. In fact, UC San Diego became the first program in NCAA history to send its men's and women's teams to March Madness in its first season eligible to do so.
