LA JOLLA, Calif. – Four UC San Diego scholar-athletes have been honored by The Big West as the conference announced its women's soccer postseason awards on Saturday afternoon. Freshman forward
Ava Tibor was selected as The Big West Freshman of the Year by the conference's head coaches. Tibor was also named to both the Second Team and Freshman Team. Senior back

Alexis Nguyen and freshman goalkeeper
Charlotte Wilfert were all named Honorable Mention. Wilfert was also placed on the Freshman Team. The postseason recognition is the first for all four Tritons.
Tibor becomes the first Triton to capture a major postseason award since UC San Diego moved to Division I and joined The Big West in 2020. She led all Big West freshmen with six goals scored, and her six goals established a new UC San Diego program record in its Division I era.
UC San Diego concluded its season Thursday night with a 1-0 victory over UC Santa Barbara. The Tritons earned a result in seven of their final eight Big West matches and posted five clean sheets against Big West opposition.
