Tritons-Anteaters II to Air on ESPNU

Contest is a rematch of the January 11 tilt in La Jolla

IRVINE, Calif. – UC San Diego's highly-anticipated men's basketball game at UC Irvine on February 8 will be televised nationally on ESPNU, The Big West announced on Wednesday. The rematch between the league's top two teams in the standings will mark UC San Diego's first nationally televised Big West road game. The Tritons moved to Division I and joined The Big West in 2020.

The Tritons (17-4, 7-2 Big West) currently lead the nation in turnover margin (+7.4) and are tops in the conference in scoring defense (62.4 points per game allowed) and scoring margin (17.6).
 
UC Irvine (18-3, 8-1 Big West) leads The Big West and ranks second nationally, averaging 30.6 defensive rebounds per game. The Anteaters are a perfect 7-0 at home this season and have won 21 consecutive games inside Bren Events Center. UC Irvine's last home loss came on Feb. 23, 2023 – a 99-91 setback to UC San Diego.
 
Game time on Feb. 8 is 7 p.m.
