CHULA VISTA, Calif. – UC San Diego senior
Raquel Kalpakoff scored a goal in the 19th minute and the Tritons made that hold up for a 1-0 women's soccer victory over Grand Canyon in an exhibition contest Tuesday morning at Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. No official statistics were kept for the match, which was played in front of about 70 supporters. The two teams played a trio of 30-minute periods in the 2024 edition of their annual preseason meeting.

Lindsey Park worked her way through a trio of GCU defenders to find Kalpakoff in the box, assisting on what turned out to be the lone goal of the match.
The Tritons open their 2024 campaign on Thursday, Aug. 15 when UC San Diego travels to the Bay Area for the first of two road matches. UC San Diego visits Cal for a 4 p.m. match in the opener, and the Tritons will play at San Francisco on Aug. 18.
