NEW ORLEANS – On Monday afternoon, the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2024 Track & Field Academic Awards with both the men's squad and women's squad landing a spot on the All-Academic Teams lists.

The Triton men posted a 3.462 GPA in the spring quarter under the guidance of head coach Kimberly Graham-Miller. They found themselves with the 27th highest squad GPA out of the 180 men's teams on the list. The gold and blue also posted the highest GPA out of the six UCs nominated.

For the Triton women, the squad posted a solid 3.549 GPA in their competition season guided by Graham-Miller. In a field of 239, the women landed in the 62nd spot with the highest UC GPA of the six universities on the list.

Wrapping the 2024 season, the Tritons have completed their four-year mandated transition period and are now eligible for postseason competition in 2025. Between the two squads, the Tritons broke over 10 records in the 2024 season. The 12-year-old 4x400m record fell in April to
Amari Jenkins,
Maxine Schultz,
Kate MacNaughton, and
Lauren Schiele. The gold and blue earned four Big West athlete of the week honors this season, the most out of any in their four years as Big West members.
