Â
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ

Â
Eyanson held the Mustangs hitless through the first four innings, including retiring the side in order in the third and fourth. Cal Poly knocked a leadoff double in the fifth to break up the no-no and brought the runner home with an RBI single to make it 4-1.
Â
The Mustangs advanced a runner to third an inning later, but a ground-out to
Noah Sudyka at shortstop ended the inning without a run.Â
Â
UC San Diego threatened again in the bottom of the seventh, advancing two runners into scoring position with one out. However, the Tritons were unable to cash in and the score remained 4-1.
