LA JOLLA, Calif. – Back in action for the first of two times this weekend, the UC San Diego men's tennis team dropped their match to the #56 Nebraska Cornhuskers by a 6-1 final score on Saturday afternoon at the Northview Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Back on their home courts after last weekend's rain moved them off campus, the Tritons were set to go as they were set to face the Cornhuskers in the initial doubles point. Nebraska was able to win the first two doubles matches on one and three in the lineup as they clinched the match's initial point.
Fighting to get their way back into the match, the Tritons were able to get a victory from
Zach Pellouchoud at the four spot in the lineup for his sixth singles win this season. Nebraska would go on to win the remaining five singles matches to pick up the 6-1 win on Saturday afternoon.

- "Nebraska was a highly competitive team and we weren't able to match the athleticism and competitiveness they brought," head UC San Diego men's tennis coach Timmer Willing said. "We gave ourselves chances in doubles but couldn't close out the point. Zach Pellouchoud came out with a good start and helped us get a point at number four."
TRITON TIDBIT
- Pellouchoud improved his record on the season to 6-6 overall in singles and is now an even 1-1 while competing at the four spot in the UC San Diego lineup.
