LA JOLLA, Calif. – Competing in their first conference match of the spring season, the UC San Diego women's tennis team dropped their contest against the Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine by a 7-0 margin on Monday afternoon at Northview Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Beginning the day with customary doubles action, the Tritons received a tremendous performance from the tandem of 
Sophie Pearson and 
Naomi Nguyen as they were able to capture the victory before the Rainbow Wahine earned the team doubles point by winning the other two matches on Monday.
 
Turning our attention to singles action, Hawai'i was able to continue their strong play as they won the remaining six singles matches to earn the 7-0 victory in both team's Big West opener.

The Tritons will be back in action just two days from now as they welcome Point Loma to Northview Tennis Courts on Wednesday, Feb. 14 for a 2:00 p.m. first serve. Wednesday's match is the scheduled make up after the originally scheduled match on Feb. 7 was rained out.
