Tritons Unveil 2025 Spring Schedule

UC San Diego will play 13 home matches in La Jolla

LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego head coach Sebastian Bader has announced the Tritons' 2025 women's tennis schedule. The challenging spring slate features 23 matches – 13 of which will take place at Northview Tennis Courts on the UC San Diego campus.

For the third spring in a row, the Tritons will kick off their season with a trio of matches in Arizona. The fifth season of Division I spring competition begins for UC San Diego on Jan. 17 when the Tritons visit the University of Arizona. That trip continues with matches at Arizona State (Jan, 18) and Grand Canyon (Jan. 19).

The Tritons' home opener will be Jan. 24 against Calgary – a match that kicks off seven straight in La Jolla. Included in the stretch are Big West foes Long Beach State (Feb. 8) and UC Davis (Feb. 15). The home stand concludes Feb. 16 against Utah.

Three of UC San Diego's next four matches will be on the road, including visits to Cal State Fullerton (Feb. 23) and Hawai'i (March 1). The Tritons will be back home for four straight in March, beginning on March 7 vs. Fresno State. After hosting UC Riverside (March 26), the Tritons conclude the month at UC Irvine (March 27).

In April, three of the Tritons' four matches will be against Big West competition: at Cal Poly (April 4), at UC Santa Barbara (April 6), and the regular season finale vs. CSUN (April 19).

"We expect The Big West to be very challenging again, and I anticipate many close contests throughout the conference schedule," Bader explained. "We want to continue to make strides in the Big West."

With UC San Diego's NCAA-mandated four-year transition to Division I now complete, the Tritons are eligible to compete in Big West and NCAA postseason play. The Big West Championship will take place April 23-26 at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.

Admission to UC San Diego's regular season home matches is free, though parking permits are required seven days per week on the UC San Diego campus.
