Ava McInnes had a career night as she snapped the all-time kills record on Saturday night against Cal State Bakersfield.
Need to Know » Ava McInnes broke the all-time kills record in the second set of the match as she went on to record a team-high 15 kills. The senior now holds the record at 1,532 kills in her four-year career, breaking the old record by seven kills on Saturday night in LionTree Arena.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (1-6)

Last Time Out » UC San Diego women's basketball battled in its second consecutive overtime game, but ultimately fell to Denver, 67-59, on Sunday afternoon in Hamilton Gymnasium. The Tritons (1-6) competed in their third overtime contest of the season, marking the first meeting with the Pioneers (2-3).
Need to Know » Sumayah Sugapong led the Tritons with 17 points, while
Kayanna Spriggs added 15 and
Sabrina Ma finished with 10.
Gracie Gallegos finished with seven rebounds and Spriggs collected six. Sugapong tallied a team-high three assists and four steals, while
Nicki Polocheck finished with three steals.

Tyler McGhie scored a game-high 27 as the Tritons won the Boardwalk Battle championship with a convincing 80-45 win over Toledo Saturday evening at Ocean Center. McGhie averaged 21 points and better than four made three-pointers per game over the weekend and was named tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Tyler McGhie was named Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday afternoon. The honor is a first for McGhie, who helped lead the Tritons to three wins in three days to
claim the Boardwalk Battle title in Daytona Beach, Fla.
