DAVIS, Calif. – UC San Diego men's soccer falls to eighth place after dropping their final road game of the season to UC Davis in a 2-0 result.
UC San Diego moves to 3-5 in Big West play and 4-9-4 overall. The Aggies move to 3-3-2 in conference play and 7-5-5 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Striking early, UC Davis scored in the 12th minute to take the lead at 1-0. The Tritons took five shots in the first half with three on frame and two corner kicks. UCD took nine shots of their own putting four on frame. Playing physical on their home pitch, the Aggies committed 8 fouls to the Tritons' three.
The second half was much of the same as the Tritons forced three more saves from the Aggies on their six total shots. Davis added six more shots to their tally with
Nolan Premack making three more saves. The Aggies added an insurance goal in the 70th minute to move further ahead at 2-0.
Three yellow cards were dealt to the two teams with 23 fouls committed between the two.
