QUOTABLE
"It was a group effort today," commented head coach Nate Garcia. "Up and down the roster the group worked together to maximize their performance, and it showed in the results."

"The SDSU women ran a great race today and it is fun to continue the crosstown rivalry." Garcia added, "we look forward to getting a chance to race them again at Regionals."

Commenting on senior leader Sylvana Northrop, Garcia said, "she ran a great race, attaching herself to the front group and then powering away in the final 800m for the win."

There were a couple violent pile ups in the start of the men's race with a few Tritons going down and having to get up and get back into the race. Garcia commented, "It was a strong effort up front and Evan Hild and Kai Dettman tightened up our pack, and it was great to get Nathan Garderes back out with the team."

"We can't wait to be back here in a couple weeks; UCR did a great job hosting," added Garcia.
