LA JOLLA, Calif. – Back on their home courts following their trip to Arizona, the UC San Diego men's tennis team (0-4) dropped a 4-3 match to the Sacramento State Hornets (1-0) on Thursday afternoon at the Northview Tennis Courts.

Returning to their home courts for the second time this season, the Tritons were able to get off to a fast start against the Hornets as the pairings of

William Lan/
Carson Lee each picked up doubles victories to give UC San Diego the doubles point for the first time this spring and the early lead.Â
Turning our attention to singles play, the Tritons received a pair of tremendous performances as both
Carson Lee and
Zach Pellouchoud earned two set victories competing at the second and sixth spot in the lineups respectively. Lee was able to earn his team-leading second singles win of the campaign as he know boasts a 2-2 mark early in the season.Â

- Following today's victory over Sacramento State, the Rodriguez/Pellouchoud pairing improved their record to 2-1 on the season after picking up their first win the season opener against BYU at home.
- Comfortably assimilating to the second spot in the lineup, Lee picked up his second straight win after accumulating the Tritons' lone point against #16 Arizona last weekend.Â
