HOW IT HAPPENED
The Toreros struck first with a goal in the 16th minute to stay ahead at 1-0 for the entire 45.

The gold and blue had multiple chances in the first half starting Asa Gibson forcing an early save after putting a shot on the lower right corner of the goal with only 40 seconds on the clock. Alessandro Allen did the same in the 8th minute with a shot on the lower right corner. On a set play, Iñaki Iribarren put the cross on goal with a header that USD's keeper smothered before it crossed the line. Shots were even in the first half at seven and seven.
