Ava McInnes and
Lauren Brooker have both earned Big West weekly honors, as announced Monday by the conference.

McInnes was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week—her second conference weekly honor—and
Lauren Brooker was named Big West Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

McInnes and Brooker's awards mark the sixth and seventh weekly honors for the UC San Diego program in three seasons of Big West competition. The Tritons have had four players earn weekly recognition this season.Â

AVA McINNES » BIG WEST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ava McInnes led the Tritons offensively in all three matches in Nashville. The junior outside hitter was named tournament MVP for her performance, collecting 59 kills (4.92 per set) and totaling 67.5 points (5.63 per set). Additionally, McInnes was named UCU Athlete of the Week.

McInnes recorded a season-high 24 kills and 27.5 points in a four-set victory at Tennessee State and led the Tritons with 11 digs for her second double-double of the season. She also led UC San Diego in kills (13) and blocks (5) against Jackson State and capped the weekend with a match-high 22-kill performance against Belmont. McInnes extended a 15-match streak of double-figure kills dating back to last season and moved into eighth all-time in total attacks (2,855).

LAUREN BROOKER » BIG WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Lauren Brooker earned her second all-tournament recognition of the nonconference season, starting all three matches for the Tritons in Nashville. The freshman traded time between opposite and setter for UC San Diego, finishing the weekend with 24 kills (2.00 per set), 20 assists (1.67 per set), 21 digs (1.75 per set) and eight blocks (0.67 per set). She finished third on the team with 28.5 total points.Â

Brooker recorded her fourth double-double of the season against TSU, finishing with 10 assists and 10 digs and adding six kills and four blocks. She then matched her season high twice with nine kills against both Jackson State and Belmont. On Friday against the Bruins, Brooker finished just shy of a triple-double with nine kills, nine assists and nine digs, adding three blocks.
