LA JOLLA, Calif. – As the summer months arrive, UC San Diego men's fencing is sending three fencers to the Pan-American Senior Championships in Lima, Peru to open international competition.

Scott Lao from the Tritons foil squad will represent the US Virgin Islands along with epee member
Sunny Sharma representing the same country. Incoming Triton, Zander Vazquez will represent Mexico in men's foil with Lao.

The championships will take place from June 15 to June 20 with individual competition taking place on the first three days of the championships.

The fencing teams will send Tritons to multiple international competitions this summer including the European Games in Krakow, Poland, the World Fencing Championships in Milan, Italy, and the World University Games.
