SACRAMENTO, Calif.—UC San Diego women's rowing earned medals in three events at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships on Sunday morning on Lake Natoma.

The Tritons placed second in the varsity four and second varsity eight finals and third in the novice eight finals. UC San Diego's varsity eight finished fourth and the second varsity four finished fifth in their respective finals.

VARSITY 8+
The varsity eight came in fourth in the Tritons first final of the day with a time of 6:54.136, just behind Stanford in first place followed by USD and Sacramento State rounding out the top three. The Tritons finished in front of Portland and Saint Mary's.

The first silver of the day went to the second varsity eight, finishing with a time of 7:13.729 just behind Sacramento State. The Tritons defeated Portland, USD, Seattle U and Saint Mary's on their way to second place.

The novice eight took home a third-place finish, trailing Orange Coast College and Sacramento State. The Tritons finished ahead of UC Irvine, UC Davis and USD with a time of 7:37.691.
