IRVINE, Calif. — In its final match before starting conference play later this week, UC San Diego men's volleyball was defeated, 3-1, Tuesday night at Concordia.
Scores went 25-23, 22-25, 25-15, and 25-21.
The Tritons fell to 6-7 overall while the Golden Eagles improved to 5-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ryan Ka led UC San Diego with 16 kills.
Josh Schellinger, the reigning Big West Freshman of the Week, followed with 13 kills and hit .417.
Nick Rigo finished with five blocks (three solos) and setter
Gabriel Dyer racked up 47 assists and led the team with eight digs. Josh Ewert had six kills while
Berkeley Miesfeld,
Nick Rigo, and
Peter Selcho each put away five kills.
The Tritons hit .242 (52-23-150) and the Eagles hit .282 (48-19-123).
For the first time this season, UC San Diego recorded no service aces. Concordia had seven.
The match featured 29 tie scores but only eight lead changes.
For Concordia, Uriel Batista had a match-high 20 kills. He hit .421 while also contributing three aces and eight digs. Mason Mullins and Gil Herold had four blocks apiece. Jacob Reilly led all players in digs with 11.
