LA JOLLA, Calif. – A quartet of Tritons earned accolades for their hard work both in the classroom and on the court on Tuesday. Seniors

Vuk Vulikic, and sophomore
Justin DeGraaf were all named to the Academic All-District Team as announced by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). All four will now move on to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Justin DeGraaf (Hudsonville, Mich.) is a mathematics - computer science major with a 3.54 grade point average. The sophomore from Warren College has played in 23 games so far this season, making one start. He scored a career-high 11 points in the Tritons' Big West opener, a win at Long Beach State.
Jake Kosakowski (Las Vegas, Nev.) maintains a 3.50 grade point average as a communication major. The senior from Roosevelt College has played in 27 games so far this season, starting 14. Last season, he led the nation in three-point field goal percentage, hitting 47.3% of his attempts from behind the three-point arc.
Jace Roquemore (Henderson, Nev.) is a communication major and holds a 3.59 cumulative GPA. The senior from Sixth College is a Big West All-Academic Team selection. He has started all 28 games this season and 56 consecutive for the Tritons.
Vuk Vulikic (Belgrade, Serbia) holds a 3.50 grade point average as a communication major. The junior from Sixth College has seen action in 24 games off the bench so far this season.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid March. To be eligible, student-athletes must hold a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution.
The Tritons are in the midst of their third season of an NCAA-mandated four-year transition to Division I. UC San Diego plays at UC Irvine on Thursday and will host UC Santa Barbara on Saturday.
