HOW IT HAPPENED
Pressing the attack in the first half, the Tritons outshot the 'Runners 6-2 with no shots on goal while CSUB put one on target. It was a physical first half with each team earning eight fouls. CSUB was awarded two yellow cards in the first half as frustrations on both sides grew. Earning three corner kicks, the Tritons were spoiled each time by the 'Runners keeping even at 0-0 for the first 45.

The second half was much of the same as both teams battled for possession and momentum. Shooting six shots in the second, CSUB put two of those on target forcing two big saves from Mitchell Wilson to keep the score 0-0.

As time dwindled, four more yellow cards were earned by the foes with three going to the Tritons over the span of the second 45. Eight Tritons took a shot tonight, hoping to find the back of the net before the clock struck 0:00.

James Redington and Max Carvalho made it happen in the 90th minute with 0:26 seconds left on the board. Redington set himself up on the far side of the pitch to send a ball into the box, finding Carvalho who put the ball down and out of reach of the keeper for the game winner at 1-0.
