Qian Wins Again but UC San Diego Defeated on the Road at Pacific

LA JOLLA, Calif. – In its first road match of the season Saturday, the UC San Diego men's tennis team fell short at Pacific by a score of 6-1.

It was the sixth non-conference match of the season for the Tritons, who fell to 3-3 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons took one of three doubles matches. The duo of Eric Silberman and Diogo Tinoco topped Tiago Silva and Manroop Saini, 7-5, in the No. 3 spot.

At No. 2, Phillip Lan and Pelayo Rodriguez battled but came up short against Terence Das and Ran Amar, who won by a score of 7-5.

Charles Qian continued his winning streak and collected the lone singles victory for the Tritons. At No. 6, Qian lost the opening set against Manroop Saini, but rebounded to win the next two.

A sophomore from San Diego, Qian is a perfect 6-0 in singles matches this season.
