INSIDE THE MATCH
Final Score: UC San Diego 0, Santa Clara 6
Team Records: UC San Diego 3-4; Santa Clara 1-1
HOW IT HAPPENED
Santa Clara proved to be a tough challenge for the Tritons, taking all six singles matches.
At No. 1, Daniel Traxler put up a fight in the first set, but ultimately fell to opponent Arthur Neuhaus.
Phillip Lan battled as well at No. 2, with the second set going to a tiebreaker. He too came up short, with opponent Guillaume Dalmasso taking the tiebreaker with a score of 9-7.
Due to the weather, the singles matches were contested first. The doubles matches were not played as the single point would not have figured in the outcome.
