LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC San Diego men's tennis team rallied behind one another to come back and take a 4-3 win against Loyola Marymount Sunday at Northview Tennis Courts.

In doubles, the Tritons found themselves down after dropping the No. 2 match-up. However, the team rallied for two-straight victories. Seniors

William Lan took their first win of the season, 6-4, at No. 1. Junior

Diogo Tinoco earned a 7-5 win over their opponents at No. 3, securing the doubles point for UC San Diego.

In singles play, sophomore
Charles Qian started off with a win at No. 6, extending his exceptional start to the season.
Without hesitation, the Lions countered Qian's victory by earning three-straight wins at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 to take a 3-2 advantage in the match.

Tinoco took down his opponent in straight sets at No. 3 to even the contest at 3-3.
It came down to sophomore
Pelayo Rodriguez at No. 5. It took three sets, but he clutched up and won by scores of 6-1, 3-6, and 6-4 to clinch the victory for the Tritons.
