NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Down a pair of starters due to injury, the UC San Diego women's tennis team fell at CSUN by a 4-0 score in Big West action on a blustery Saturday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Complex.
The loss dropped the Tritons to 2-9 overall and 1-5 in Big West play. The Matadors are 4-1 (1-1) after the shutout victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Playing as a pair for the second consecutive match at No. 3, junior
Rachel Wagner and freshman
Adriana Tabares picked up a win, 6-3. However, the Matadors won the point thanks to 6-2 wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 position.
In singles play, the Matadors clinched the match with wins at No. 5, No. 1, and No. 6. The Tritons battled at the No. 3 position, with Vu trailing 7-6 (7-3), 2-2. At No. 4, Wagner took the second set 6-2 over her opponent before the match was halted in the third.
