LA JOLLA, Calif.  – UC San Diego went 1-1 on day two of the San Diego Classic. The Tritons fell to the Terriers, 4-1 and topped the Aggies, 5-4.

BOSTON U 4, UC SAN DIEGO 1
The Terriers struck first with a four run third inning.
Gabby Williams came in as relief for the Tritons and allowed no runs on three hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

 The Tritons responded in the fourth when leadoff hitter,
Gabby Williams sent a double to fence.
Kelley Renner came in as a pinch runner and was able to advance to third. On two outs,
Alexa DeMarse laced a single past the shortstop to plate Renner.

DeMarse was one of six runners left on base for the Tritons as they were unable to overcome the Terriers.
UC SAN DIEGO 5, UTAH STATE 4
The Tritons immediately jumped on the board in the bottom of the first.
Keila Bosinger drove a single past second base. She advanced to second on a ground out.
Gabby Williams and
Isabel Lavrov both walked to load the bases for
Marissa Hassis. Hassis cleared the bases when she laced a two-out double to left center, plating Bosinger, Williams, and Lavrov.

The Aggies responded in the fourth with one run and then took the lead in the fifth scoring three runs.

In the bottom of the sixth,
Deena Pederson sent a double to right center and was advanced into scoring position on a sac bunt by
Mikaila Pancino.
Sophia Real laced a single through the right side to drive Pederson home for the tying run. Then
Bobbi Aguirre drove a double to right field on a 1-2 count to plate Real and take the lead.

Jada Cecil got the start for the Tritons and allowed three runs on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
Gabby Williams came on in as relief and allowed one run on two hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

- Adding two hits to her stats, Sophia Real leads the Tritons with 28 hits in 19 games.
- After pitching 4 innings today with six strikeouts, Jada Cecil is now one strikeout away from 70 strikeouts in her 11 appearances.
- The Tritons did not commit an error in either game on Saturday, marking the sixth and seventh times this season.
